just purchased an amazing piece by 2 cents, who was kind enough to hand-deliver. it's being framed right now. this is the kind of stuff that makes me happy.

i bought a desk. this is huge news, for someone who works at home. in my old, cramped apartment, i worked like this:

while watching TV last night, i saw this mcdonald's commercial where, for a split second, some dude was in a reception area with a groovy metal globe on the wall.

did i rewind and take a picture of the screen? yes. yes, i did.



cool, right? retro TWA terminal chic! anyway, i googled "metal globe sculpture." and i totally found it. six hundred bucks.



i suspect it might look better on a black wall as opposed to a white wall, but i am looking for something "interesting" and NOT square or rectangular to hang over the TV. other ideas: marquee letters.

slowly but surely the apartment is coming together.
the living room needs to have pictures hung; there is an additional bookcase in the office now.
i need a desk, and i want it to be a retro shiny steel tanker -- but not the giant ones. single pedestal. working on it.

the bedroom is going to be the real challenge; we'll talk about that later.
