omg look! panic! at the disco! in the window at mtv studios. *sigh* jon, ryan, brendon and spencer. i love those boys. watch one of their videos here. think they're kinda gay? maybe they are. gaze upon their cuteness here, here or here.

meanwhile, i biked from times square to my neighborhood... and the lower east side welcomed my new bike.





have i mentioned how excited i am that it is spring???

one thing leads to another.

so saturday i had to go to the post office - instead of going to the prince street location in soho, i decided to go to the east broadway office in chinatown. i stumbled on chinese new year celebrations. i followed some of the clubs - golden lion, praying mantis - as they made stops in the stores, drums, confetti, laughter.













since i was already heading downtown i decided to go to j&r to buy a new camera. then since i was already so far downtown, i went to see the ugo rondinone trees i'd gotten a postcard from creative time about.









then when you're that far downtown you might as well take a minute and look at the statue of liberty, right?



it looked closer to the naked eye.





yay new camera!



sunday we went to the armory art show and saw some art.

so what's broken on my camera is the zoom.

i can take pictures, but i can't zoom in or out. SIGH.

so friday was world AIDS day and i went to an event at 401 projects hosted by iman with lenny and zoë kravitz.





that happens to be amy smart's back.







the exhibit is called bloodline and features absolutely stunning photographs by kristen ashburn. highly recommended - the images are presented on large lightboxes and they're just breathtaking. the show is up for a while, try to catch it.

there was also a silent auction of photographs, all of them amazing, but the price points were too high for lil ol me. hopefully some money was raised, though.

i ran into a few people - my old intern who now works at bwr,



tsuyoshi's aussie pal maria,



and greg, a photographer i met about 5 years ago when we went on a trip to the DC area to shoot boys in unsigned bands... super fun.

saturday i had a mega shopping marathon - bloomingdale's, john derian, and all up and down bleecker st.



sunday night was goodbye naughty nnadi. safe travels!
