last night i went to a screening of mr. and mrs. smith and i have to say i really liked it. i wanted to be a harsh, cold, objective critic. but between brad's awesome eyes, angelina's plush lips, the funny premise, catty/snarky dialogue and slick directorial tricks, i fell for this movie. little seth cohen had a teeny part, but he was good, too. i should have known doug liman would turn it out.
what i liked were all the little details. for instance, there were always TVs playing in the background of scenes-not for any reason, just because that's how people live. there was also a lot of subtext in an already double-entendre-laden script, which makes the verbal/mental action just as exciting as the physical.
spotted in the theater: kyle maclachlan with long graying hair. weird.
