he ain't heavy he's my b(r)other

hungover on sunday i rode my hello kitty bike to a lovely brunch at cookshop and then went back home and watched brothers of the head. it's a mockumentary about conjoined twins sold to a music promoter in the 1970s and turned into a freak rock band called bang bang. much of it is rather predictable - they're young, innocent, living in the country, and then they get swept up in the drugs, booze and girls of the scene. i would have liked to see the filmmakers push it a little further, it could have been better, more shocking, crazier... there were a lot of things that happened in the plot that you never get to see - you just see people describe the events. then again, there's nothing more attractive than mystery.

movie review haiku:

punk rock conjoined twins
best friends and worst enemies
pain becomes music

note:
the soundtrack is quite good.
