creatures great and small

well, it's hard to really write about everything sometimes, let it just be known that i went to an amazing event on friday night and was in the presence of many many legends.

it's truly uplifting to be around greatness, around people who have made a difference, lived a life full of meaning and will leave behind a void, a legacy. and on the other hand, because this is the way my brain works, it's easy to feel very boring and stupid and unaccomplished. didn't i read something somewhere about the high incidents of depression in geniuses? haha.

anyway, isn't it lovely, also, to have an excuse to get all dressed up?

saturday i was all errands and no play. bookstores and banks and laundry and all the things i need to function but can't do during the week.

sunday we went to see black style now at the museum of the city of new york. maybe the first and only time you'll see grillz under glass, people. highly recommended.

afterwards a stroll in the park and ice cream.
